About Our Worship Services
Worship services are at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday morning. If you are a first-time visitor, even if you have no church experience, you will feel comfortable and at home.
Our hope is that you will be led to sense the presence of God, such that you come away with awe, wonder, and a stronger faith in Jesus Christ. It is our hope and prayer that the services are led by the Holy Spirit, honoring to God, exalting of Jesus Christ, and based on the Bible. That is why you will sometimes hear “Hallelujah” during the singing of a song, and “Amen” during the sermon. People do this because they have found the ultimate joy in life through Jesus Christ.
We seek to be Biblical, placing great emphasis on Bible expository preaching. While Biblical, we also seek to be life-relevant.
We are contemporary in style, basically the kind of music that you’ll find on most praise and worship CD’s by Vineyard, Maranatha, and Hillsong. You’ll hear familiar hymns, gospel, multi-lingual as well.
Some things you’d might like to know about our worship services:
A Joyful Celebration of the New Life in Christ —
Feel free to express your praise to the Lord. Worship is not just listening attentively, but it is also actively singing, prayer, clapping, bowing – whatever you do to express honor and praise to God.
About Tongues —
We do not speak in tongues publicly in the worship services, unless there is also an interpretation. But if you have this spiritual gift, we encourage you to use your gift softly in private during the service, or with others with the same gift.
The Gift of Tongues is a valuable gift! But in public worship, especially on Sunday mornings, we are sensitive to unbelievers and inquirers, so that they may not be distracted from the message about Jesus Christ. In the Bible, it says:
“But in the church I would rather speak five intelligible words to instruct others than ten thousand words in a tongue… So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and some who do not understand or some unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your mind?” (1 Corinthians 14:19, 23)
Nursery Care and Children’s Church —
These services are provided by our Children’s Ministry for ages 0 to grade 6.
Sermon Recordings —
Online audio files of the service will soon be re-instated, usually available by the following Wednesday.
