“Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers” – While everyone is tempted by different things, the heart of the matter is that every temptation stems from our OWN heart’s desires. Thus, if you find yourself struggling with differing temptations, then try not allowing yourself to be in a position where you are forced to come face to face with your temptation(s) until you’re much stronger in your walk. For example, if you struggle with alcohol, then don’t go to bars; if lust is a struggle, then avoid places where the folks may be dressed enticingly, like clubs or the beach; or if you are a couch potato on Sunday mornings watching football; try going to a Sunday morning church service…I’m just saying!
