“You shall stand up before the gray head and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God: I am the LORD” – One thing that is sorely lacking among young people today is respect for the elders. The way I see so many kids disrespect their parents and other elders nowadays is simply beyond belief. I know I’m an elder myself now, but even when I was young wanna be hoodlum, I STILL had respect for the elders, because I was raised that way. Moreover, its no surprise when you see so many young people in and out of trouble with the law today — quite simply because since they have no respect for their parents and other elders at home, that lack of respect just continues to lead them as they leave the house and go on into society at large. SMH!
