Your Work Witness

(Ephesians 6:5-9)

 

Pastor’s Definition:
“Your Work Witness is how you represent God at your place of employment”

 

Ophthalmodoulia – service performed [only] under the master’s eyes:

 

“And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward” (Matthew 6:5)

 

I. Working (Most of Us)

II. Managing/Supervising (Some of Us)

1. Luke 12:43-48

2. Luke 19:1-9

 

III. Witnessing while they Worked  (Should be all of us)

1. Genesis 31:4-12 (Jacob)

2. Genesis 39:1-6 (Joseph)

 

IV. Epilogue –– Works that Speak for Themselves

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven (Matthew 5:14-16)
