What We BelieveIn short, we believe in all the teachings of the historic Christian faith, including the inerrancy and authority of the Bible, salvation not by works but by God's grace through one's faith in Jesus Christ, and the need to tell others about Jesus Christ. Here is a summary of our beliefs. Although the church is contemporary in style, the beliefs of the church meet the historic doctrinal standards set forth in the Apostle's Creed, the Nicene Creed, the Athanasian Creed, as well as the Protestant Confession of Faith of Belgium, the Catechism of Heidelberg, and the Canons of [the city of] Dort. Our beliefs about the Bible as the Word of God meet the standards set forth in the Chicago Statement on Inerrancy. |
